Reflection Week 03: Sourcing the Product

 This week I learned that to start small one has to be mindful of the way they would like their products to be sold. selling products as a new business can often be challenge especially if it is a new product. This is because nobody is really familiar with the brand.People become hesitant to buy something they have not tried before. 

I have learn that affiliate marketing and drop shipping all have their disadvantages, but as a small business it is better to start with drop shipping. I come to the conclusion of this because affiliate marketing takes time to build a market audience or even the credibility. While with drop shipping the company already has the market base and the customers readily to patronize the goods.

  I learned that sole proprietorship legal structure is easier to keep records for, because there's less to keep track of. There are also no corporate business taxes involved, because they are not a corporation. This structure is best for people who want to start small, but if they ever decide to expand their business or join their business with someone else they would have to consider a different legal structure, such as a partnership. I have learned that it is important to keep track of taxes. When keeping records having an accountant will help to keep you accountable. Honesty goes a long way even though there are some laws that make things hard. Reflection: Google Ads Keywords

  This week I learned a lot of things from my classmates on Google Ads keywords. I learned that keywords being broad not always make it a bad thing. You still want people to find your product and having things too narrow can make it so others cannot find your website. The only problem with having keywords that are too broad is that you are paying for clicks that will likely not go anywhere. It is a fine balance of keeping it broad enough that people can find you but narrow enough that you are not paying for people not wanting to shop for items not on your website. I learned that being specific is a good strategy for your keywords, but never too specific. I think it is very important to include negative keywords to improve results. Finally, a crucial point is to include the specific place where you want your ads to be shown. Reflection: ROI & Optimizing Ad Performance

 This week I learned that "the three components to a successful e-commerce store are traffic, conversion, and sales." It is really important to see how many are visiting your website which connects with conversion then leading to sales. I know that getting more people to purchase on your website can be a challenge or it may come easy.  I learned that conversion codes are used to track the behavior of a user and also to be able to know what they do when they are on your page and even off your page. This helps because it is able to make you make helpful decisions. Using track codes can help you select a particular item of focus which you would like to keep track of. I think it is a very great tool to use as it drives towards helping the website attract traffic and also monitor the decisions people make when they visit the website.
