Reflection: Choosing a Web Host

This week has been very challenging due to a technical issues the it department face. I was not able to submit some assignments which I had done on time but I learned some interesting things about hosting a site. I learned that in choosing a host site for my web business site I need to consider if the site is user friendly, if there is a 24 hours 7 days tech support in case I am facing some challenges. I learned that I have to consider the pricing too so I can  know which subscription I could afford. I realized in my research that some hosts provide very little support for a higher fees whiles others provides a very good service for a very moderate fee. It will mostly depend on on'e budget and  what they want to be offered by a host. A lot of research must be done on it before  a host site is chosen.

Reflection Week 03: Sourcing the Product

This week I learned that to start small one has to be mindful of the way they would like their products to be sold. selling products as a new business can often be challenge especially if it is a new product. This is because nobody is really familiar with the brand.People become hesitant to buy something they have not tried before.  I have learn that affiliate marketing and drop shipping all have their disadvantages, but as a small business it is better to start with drop shipping. I come to the conclusion of this because affiliate marketing takes time to build a market audience or even the credibility. While with drop shipping the company already has the market base and the customers readily to patronize the goods.

Reflection: Choosing a Business

This week I have learned a great deal and out of the things that i learned, a few things stood out to me which I would like to jot down as a way of preservation for the shortest pencil is better than the longest memory. I have learned that little or no competition is a big room for a business to explore with little finances. As little competition will not make a business spend much on Ad promotions.  I also learned that there is no growth in the comfort zone, and so no competition can also make a business not explore their greatest potentials. It will make them feel comfortable and there would not be much earnings or growth. Competition stretches a business to think out of the box, and be more creative and innovative. Hence, it is better to spend a few or more money for promotions and Ads than settling for less.
